Anyone who knows me personally knows that I’m a sucker for red lips. I love a bright lip color to add a vibrant pop to my outfit—especially in the spring and summer months. My relationship with lipsticks are typically love and hate—sometimes you just find that perfect lip color but struggle to find a brand that will stay on throughout the day. Lipstick marks on coffee cups might be cute for a photo, but reapplying again and again is not.

I’ve always been a fan of Clinique products, especially their blushes and foundations. When I discovered the new Clinique Pop Lacquer Lip Colour + Primer and Clinique Pop Glaze Lip Colour + Primer I had met my match. The colors are amazing for early spring days as well as long nights out.

Both of the products glide on easily and come in a variety of fun colors. The luscious lip lacquers have an ultra-shine with full-coverage. When opening the gloss, I initially thought it would be heavy on my lips but the 6-hour lasting lacquer went on smoothly and felt pretty lightweight in comparison to similar products. I’m typically not one for glosses and tend to gravitate toward matte lipsticks, so experiencing Clinique’s options really opened my eyes to a world I’m completely missing out on.

The Pop Lip Colours are perfect for a subtle, tinted look. The smoothing primer feels moisturizing as it glides onto your lips. I can attest to its 8-hour promise as well! I wore my Clinique Pop Glaze Lip Colour to a brunch and out on errands last week. To my surprise, my Sugar Plum Pop held throughout the day. (Even after my lips had hit the glass of a few too many mimosas!)

I’d say I had a personal favorite, but they each stuck with me in a different way. Pictured below from left to right you’ll find:

The color: Clinique Pop Lacquer Lip Colour + Primer – Peace Pop

The verdict: Deep, dark and perfect for a night out. This color will also be a nice transition into fall…but let’s not skip ahead just yet!

The color: Clinique Pop Lacquer Lip Colour + Primer – Love Pop

The verdict: This mauve hue went on beautifully. I’d opt for this gloss if you’re looking for a more neutral, natural look.

The color: Clinique Pop Lacquer Lip Colour + Primer – Lava Pop

The verdict: If I had to choose a favorite gloss, it would be Lava Pop! I’m a red lip kind of gal so the bold, vibrant color definitely appealed to me.

The color: Clinique Pop Glaze Lip Colour + Primer – Sugar Plum Pop

The verdict: This deep mauve goes on very light and is really beautiful for a day outdoors.

 The color: Clinique Pop Glaze Lip Colour + Primer – Sprinkle Plum Pop

The verdict: Sprinkle Pop definitely packs more of a bunch than Sugar Plum Pop. The pink hue is flirty and sweet.

The color: Clinique Pop Glaze Lip Colour + Primer – Fireball Plum Pop

The verdict: Fireball is a really bright red—it almost has an orange hue. I love it because sometimes you want a red lip without having to commit to show stopping color. The shade goes on light and can be layered to your desired opacity.

I loved being exposed to yet another facet of the Clinique brand and I’m pretty sure my makeup bag will never be the same.
