There’s something special about Florida that you can’t help but ignore. When you get past the retirement homes and bad drivers, there’s a whole lot of beauty peeking out behind the palm trees.
I braved my way through society’s massive panic attack over Lilly Pulitzer’s Target collaboration. The morning was a brighter, more peppy Hunger Games filled with fierce mothers and their unyielding sorority daughters. I was lucky enough to survive my sprint to the checkout line with a few new pieces before the racks cleaned in three minutes flat. The most exciting part of the collection was its retro-chic shift dresses. My new digs make me feel like I’m instantly immersed in an imaginative Mad Men-era in which I’m sipping an Old Fashioned with Don Draper… it’s a dream, guys. A girl can dream.
In a few weeks, I’ll be bringing some palm trees to Houston in the form of this darling Lilly Pulitzer for Target number. I felt that the contrast between lime green and white should be consistent throughout so I added a perfect H&M cut-out clutch and white Forever 21 espadrilles.
I’m off to go conquer the long and hefty “Things to Do Before the Big Move” list. Stay tuned for more looks to come in some of the Sunshine States best gems.
