There’s nothing comparable to the feeling of turning a page. Whether fact or fiction, books have a magical pull to take us into another world or even propel us into our own future. Sophia Amoruso’s #GIRLBOSS has recently dominated my reading list. Amoruso, fashion arbiter and CEO of Nasty Gal, reminds us that sometimes climbing up the generic ladder is the quickest way to go nowhere. After failing to follow suit in college and the workforce, she cultivated one of the fastest growing companies on purse ambition.

To celebrate National Book Lovers Day, I’m giving away a new copy of #GIRLBOSS.  Here is how you can get your hands on one:

1) Follow @cupofcharisma on Instagram

2) Repost the giveaway photo on your Instagram and tag @cupofcharisma and #charismareads

BONUS: Comment on this blog post with your favorite book and receive two extra entries!

A random winner will be chosen on Aug. 15. Happy reading!

    • I haven’t read Hell, but I’ll have to check it out. Anything by Jane Austen is so great.

  • I always said my favorite book was Women by Bukowski. But I don’t think so anymore! So I’m currently on the hunt for a favorite book.

    • I just read my first Charles Bukowski book! I don’t know what kind of rock I’ve been living under. I loved Factotum, but I’d say my favorite is Running with Scissors by Augusten Burroughs. It’s too difficult to choose one.

  • 1. Pride & Prejudice
    2. The Hunger Games

  • I am currently reading #GIRLBOSS and love it! Great selection of books. I’m an avid reader as well. You are right, there is truly something magical about flipping through the pages. xo ellese

    • Hi Ellese, thanks so much for visiting my blog! And so agreed. #GIRLBOSS is just such a positive book and I love how Sophia Amoruso is so honest. I’ve noticed that most CEO types are the opposite of what we work towards and don’t follow the normal life plan we’re taught (climbing up the ladder at work, getting promotions, getting a 401K, retiring), which is pretty inspiring. There’s definitely a lot of risk and self motivation involved. Enjoy the rest of the book!

  • The Other Wes Moore by Wes Moore is definitely a favorite! It’s just the right mix of inspirational, drama and narrative.

PS: Totally in love with your blog. I can’t wait to see where it’s going! 🙂
