Fall/Winter Coat Trends for The Season

Now there are a few major trends happening this season, so let’s get right to it…

Teddy Coats

Cozy faux shearling coats are dominating the season. Take it from me, these coats are just as comfortable as they look. I reviewed and styled my new teddy coat here, and it’s easily become my favorite coat.

Pastel

I’m the queen of keeping dark colors in my fall wardrobe, but sometimes you have to live a little! Ditch the all-black uniform this season with a soft, feminine pastel coat. Pastel colors are no longer a commodity that should be reserved for only spring, but a palette that can translate beautifully into your fall/winter wardrobe.

Animal Print

Leopard prints glittered every fall/winter runway earlier this year at New York Fashion Week. While leopard can be a bold option that feels adventurous, it’s also a fantastic neutral. Leopard patterns and other animal prints can be a fun way to add a neutral to your look.

Plaids

Buffalo check, plaid, houndstooth, and tweed are all fabrics that are trending right now for fall. A simple tailored jacket or a faux fur-adorned parka are excellent options for a staple coat that matches with nearly anything.

Padded Parkas

If you’re in colder climates impacted by low temperatures, an insulated parka is an option that offers utility and style. From stylish parkas in olive green to a fitted faux-fur parka, a heavy coat can be warm without skimping on fashion.

Which of these coats is your favorite? Let me know in the comments!
