Cozy Up in TOMS + Target

toms women-look-1From Altazurra to Jason Wu, every fashion follower is well-versed with the Target partnership routine. Wake up at the crack of dawn, exhale caffeine, drive full speed to your local Target, dash towards womenswear, relentlessly fight for every piece in your size, snap a pic as social media proof that you’ve succeeded, and repeat. Target is bringing on yet another collaboration and while this one isn’t a coveted runway phenomenon, it’s surely an important more.

TOMS, the clothing line that has won our hearts with simplistic (and outrageously comfortable) footwear, has announced a new partnership with Target to launch in stores on Nov. 16.

Avid shoppers can finally catch a break on their spending habits and feel comfort knowing that their spending habits are far from selfish. TOMS’ “One for One” concept will take action in Target’s efforts. It’s simple: for every purchase made, Target will donate blankets, meals, and shoes to various charities, including the American Red Cross and the Canadian Red Cross Disaster Relief. With the holiday season so close to the launch, you can get a sense of satisfaction while giving to more than just a friend, but a person in need.

Making a gigantic footprint with a simple pair of canvas shoes, TOMS began the One for One initiative in 2006, giving a pair of shoes to a child for each product purchase. The brand introduced an eyewear line in 2011, giving the gift of sight. Since launching, TOMS has given more than 35 million pairs of new shoes to children in need and helped restore vision to more than 250,000 people. As if ultra-comfy and versatile designs aren’t enough, check out TOMS Roasting Co., a coffee line to provide a week’s worth of clean water to families for every bag sold.

What should you expect to see from the Target collaboration? A FULL clothing line for men, women, and children priced under $50. Yep… prepare for comfortably chic ponchos, t-shirts, beanies, hoodies, and denim. What better way to welcome winter?

I like that Target is collaborating with Toms and also doing their own “One for One” and donating to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief. It is nice to know that money spent here will go towards those in need. Great Post Jillian!

  • I sure do love when Target pairs up with these designers. My mom is definitely that woman that you described, except she most likely won’t post on social media. She is a woman possessed when new lines come out though haha. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for the new TOMS line.
